The third generation Corvette is based on the Mako Shark II concept car. The C3 was introduced in model year 1968 and production continued until 1982. The C3 coupé was the first Corvette with removable T-top roof panels. Terms were used which would later return such as LT-1, ZR-1, and Collector Edition.
The Corvette C3 is seen less and less and is becoming a rarity on the streets, certainly the more sought after version with the flat rear window and the small bumper like this one (the first year they made them like this was in 1974). This is a car that starts straight away, idles nicely at 800 RPM, stops well, accelerates with power and shifts gears smoothly.
In the recent past, the seats have been re-upholstered and the interior is still in very good condition. The car has been repainted 1 time in the past (this lacquer now shows several traces of wear and spots that are clearly visible from close up (see pictures). The car is equipped with a rare manual gearbox (most were equipped with automatic transmission), which makes the car even more popular.
Other unique features of this car are the Stinger hood, the sidepipe exhaust system and upgraded alloy wheels; all of which give this Corvette an extra cool look.
So don’t wait and seize this opportunity to become the proud new owner of this beautiful piece of American history!
