A copy of its build sheet, included in the history file, indicates that this handsome fastback Cadillac was originally sold by the prominent Southern California salesroom of Don Lee in Los Angeles. It was finished in Horizon Blue with grey cord and plain broadcloth upholstery, Hydramatic transmission, whitewall tyres, Accessory Group B (to include Special steering wheel, wheel discs, backup lights, and windscreen washer), radio, heater, and fog lights.

The car was formerly owned by Albert and Lola Dunkel of Port Angeles, Washington, who are believed to have purchased it sometime in the 1970s, then was acquired for the current collection in 2005 from Douglas K. Dauterman of Chico, California. It remains today in the same configuration described on its build sheet and is a very original, well-preserved automobile, although refinished in the correct colour and fitted with modern power steering. Obviously well-loved over its lifetime, it remains in fine order throughout, with 23,785 miles recorded at cataloguing, and is accompanied by a jack and assorted tools. This handsome Cadillac would be an enjoyable machine to drive—as well as quite distinctive on European roads, where they remain as uncommon a sight today as in period.
