The 1956 Buick sales literature depicted a very similarly color combination showing off the Series 50 Model 56C Buick Super Convertible to stir the customer’s excitement. “It’s a scintillating sight from any angle, and a weather-tight beauty for any season. Low and racy and full of action – with the added handiness of hydraulically operated top, windows and front seat adjustment.” Add in the signature VentiPorts, beautiful trim molding and distinctive grille for a very handsome style.

Driven by its 263.3-cid, 124-hp Fireball Dynaflash inline eight-cylinder engine with the optional Dyna Flow automatic transmission; this was a package designed for sporty sophistication and fun. Additional features include chromed wire wheels, heater/defroster, dual sideview mirrors, Selectronic AM radio and whitewall tires. With only 8,116 built in this model and series for 1951; you can be confident that far fewer still travel the roadways; a 1979 publication speculated less than 20, uncommon indeed.
