The Borgward Isabella Coupé is according to connoisseurs the prettiest Borgward they even built. This 1965 example is an older restoration. The car remains in very nice used condition. This Isabella Coupé comes with extensive documentation. We have workshop manuals, the marques written history and even the original car wallet containing the original owner’s manual. This Borgward Isabella Coupé has a lovely two-tone finish. Below it is cream coloured with a navy blue roof. The paintwork has been looked after with some signs of use here and there. The used bodywork is neat. The alignment is correct and the panelwork is nice and thin. It has neat if slightly dull brightwork. The interior trim is good with a nice patina. The carpets are neat and the upholstery has been properly cared for. The instruments are in good working order. Mechanically the car has always been well maintained over the years, meaning it still handles well. The 1.5 litre 4-cylinder engine runs well and is coupled to a manual 4-speed gearbox. The car has nice roadholding with good functioning brakes and steering. Unhappily the Borgward brand did not endure, so it is really good fortune that this piece of automotive history has survived.
