Beschreibung
The Bocar XP-7R is a sports car that was built in Denver, Colorado between 1958 and 1961. It is a rare and sought-after car, and is considered to be one of the most important American sports cars of the 1950s. It was ahead of its time in its design and performance, and is still considered to be a capable and enjoyable car to drive today.
The creator, Bob Carnes, wanted to build the fastest, safest, and most reliable sports car in America. Carnes built a handful of models, perfecting the car with each subsequent model.
The XP 7R was the supercharged version of the XP-7, and was powered by a GMC 4-71 supercharger driven off the nose of the crankshaft. The car was capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds, and had a top speed of 150 mph. Only three Bocar XP-7Rs were ever built.
Only 3 Bocar XP-7Rs were ever built.

Chassis 003 history:
This has been well sorted having done 3 long distance vintage "retro rally social events". It's highly tuned Corvette V8 transmits ample power through a Muncie M22 gearbox and Detroit locking rear. The wheels are Borranis and it uses disc brakes on all 4 corners. This car was restored in 2005.
Part of the restoration was done by McCabe Automotive Restorations in Illinois when it was owned by Mark Brown. I called them when I was researching the car and got to speak with old Mr McCabe himself. And of course he remembered the car and talked about it in depth. Mr. Brown is deceased.
The XP-7R was owned for 12 years by the owner (previous to the current owner) and before that it was in long term ownership for over 30 years with Mark Brown. That long time owner did not race the car.
