Beschreibung

The Z8 was developed by BMW as their flagship model and an homage to the 507 Roadster from the 1950s. Development started in 1993, and the model debuted at the 1997 Tokyo Motor Show as the Z07 concept. Produced between 2000 and 2003, the production model was built with a proprietary aluminum chassis and body and utilized the new S62 V-8 engine, which was concurrently developed for the M5 sedan. The Z8’s performance capabilities were impressive, with Motor Trend magazine achieving 0–60 mph in 4.2 seconds on the way to an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph. A total of 5,703 Z8 roadsters were built, with 2,543 being sent to the North American market.

According to its window sticker and CARFAX Vehicle History Report, this lovely Z8 was sold new through Sears Imported Autos in Minnetonka, Minnesota. It remained in Minnesota until being purchased by the consignor in 2006. Finished in stunning and desirable black over a red and black leather interior, with a black hardtop and chrome wheels, this Z8 is believed to be one of as few as 352 examples built in this color combination. It is accompanied by its hardtop storage stand, window sticker, manuals, car cover, Motorola cell phone, and tool kit. Used sparingly and showing just over 9,100 miles, the Z8 has nonetheless seen constant upkeep by the consignor’s on-site staff. It presents beautifully, with gleaming paint and only slight patina to the interior from careful use. Beautifully presented, and desirably specified, this BMW Z8 deserves your closest attention.
