One of the rarest M automobiles produced, this M3 CRT is the sedan version of the Europe only M3 GTS Coupe. Only 67 of the CRTs were built world-wide opposed to only 135 GTS Coupes produced. BMW produced the CRT (Carbon Racing Technology) using extensive carbon fiber throughout the car. It was the carbon fiber construction used in this car which led to BMW extending this production process to the mass produced i3 and i8 electric/hybrid models. The CRT is 155 pounds lighter than a standard M3 sedan with a carbon fiber bonnet, body panels and seats. For further lightness, the CRT utilizes a Titanium exhaust system. Factory performance upgrades to the CRT include a 4.4 Liter V8 producing 444bhp up from the standard M3s 4.0 Liter V8 with 414bhp. The increase in power and the reduction of weight propels the CRT from 0-60 mph in just 4.3 seconds with a top speed of 180 mph; not bad for a four door saloon car. BMW enhanced the suspension with adjustable coil overs and installed larger vented brakes.

Originally sold to a BMW dealer in Italy in 2012, the car was never registered. It was then purchased by its first owner in 2016 then its second in 2020. The M3 was sent directly to JK Technologies of Baltimore, MD, where it was federalized for the U.S. and given a road legal title. Over $40,000 was spent to do this certification with all records from JK included. The M3 is all original and in exceptional like-new condition throughout. It is complete with all original books, tools, keys and remotes and accessories.
