This BMW M3 was first used during 1991 as an exhibition and demonstration car at Bavaria Motors de La Garde, in the Var, as stated in its provisional certificate of registration from that period. While the car had less than 10,000 km on the clock, it was sold to its first owner, when it was registered for the first time on April 27, 1992 (a copy of the first registration card is included in the file). Bavaria Motors de La Garde was where it was regularly serviced and in particular we note the replacement of the cylinder head.
In 1997, the owner sold the car to his younger cousin, then only 25 years old, who preferred to register the car in the name of his mother, for insurance reasons. The car then had 50,000 km on the clock, and since then the car was registered on his name. Thus this car has remained in the same family since its purchase!
Long used as a second car, because the owner's daily drive is an M5, the clock displays 125,750 km today. Routine maintenance was carried out by the brother of the present owner, manager of a BMW garage in Cannes. The car has always remained in the hands of enthusiasts and experts of the brand. It is today in a state of regular use, we found no obvious traces of an accident when we inspected the car on a workshop lift. The paint has been redone on the bumper, the hood and the front fenders, but remains original on the other body panels. Overall in a very sound state, this M3 has hardly been used lately and therefore needs a thorough servicing before the new owner can enjoy the quintessence of this high-performance car. Paperwork includes former technical inspections, maintenance bills, the service manual and other manuals and the owner's manual with specific instructions on the Sport Evolution in German.
As you may know, in the Sport Evolution version the four-cylinder 16-valve 2.5-liter developed 238bhp. This is the most powerful of the E30 M3, the most effective and the most desirable. And it is rare, since production did not exceed 600 units. The one we are offering is therefore a very rare opportunity to acquire a car with a continuous history, one which has hardly been modified and has remained essentially in the same family since the beginning.
