Produced over a four-month period and limited to just 600 examples, the Sport Evolution stands as the final and most coveted version of the original E30-generation M3. The car offered here was completed on 7 February 1990 and, per factory records, was delivered via BMW AG two months later. Configured in Black II paint over an Anthracite Motorsport Design cloth interior featuring Tricolour accents, it was specified with an electric sunroof and windows, air conditioning, an onboard computer, plus a roof antenna and cassette holder.

As part of its early Austrian ownership history, the M3 car was registered in the mountainous state of Vorarlberg in May 1991 by Mr Roland Pfeifer. It was subsequently purchased by Mattias Unger, Team Principal of Heusenstamm, Germany-based race team Adrenalin Motorsport. Detailed across 50 pages of accompanying invoices and corresponding photographs, the car was treated to a nut-and-bolt restoration across 2021 and 2022 completed by Adrenalin Motorsport.

Acquired by the consigning owner in July 2023, this scarce but sought-after M3 Sport Evolution presents beautifully in its factory colours. It would make for a superlative addition to any collection of ultimate driving machines.
