The Baur Top convertible 2 was delivered from 1982 to 1991 and wasn’t a popular model from the start. BMW released its own E30 convertible from 1987, also developed by Baur. This did not mean the TC2 was discontinued. Only that is was ordered even less. Baur BMWs are unusual and rare.

The great advantage of the Baur construction is that it retains its body stiffness. Unlike the convertible in which various reinforcement beams had to be fitted. Certainly not beneficial to the overall weight of the car. This BMW 316i E30 Baur convertible TC2 can be driven partially open (the front and back of the roof can be opened separately). BMW and Baur have a long history, Baur already built cars for BMW in the 1930s. This is really a special convertible for the enthusiast!

This well-maintained BMW Baur was delivered new in the Netherlands in 1991.
