"It was said at the time that the Bentley “soothes its owner like no other car” and I can, without fear of contradiction confirm that that is indeed the case. Not only from reputation but also from firsthand experience as an owner. Indeed Bentley went to great effort went to ensure that that was indeed the case from fitting harmonic dampers to the propeller shaft to mounting the entire engine, gearbox and rear suspension to their own sub frame. Needless to say, craftsmen also continued to use beautiful veneers together with traditional deep pile Wilton carpet and Vaumol leather upholstery.
