"The Bentley Azure was launched in 1995 and was based on the platform of the Continental R which had been launched in 1991. The Azure intended to both convey a sense of presence and allow for comfortable seating for four adult passengers. Power came from the company's stalwart 6.75 litre, V8 featuring a single intercooled turbocharger. The gearbox was a General Motors sourced four-speed automatic unit with the Azure capable of 0-60mph in an impressive 6.1 seconds. Owing to the limited space at Bentley's Crewe factory, the Azure was designed and manufactured by Pininfarina, significantly adding to the vehicle's production cost.This lovely example of this sublime model is presented in what is arguably the best colour combination of Fountain Blue with cream leather interior and dark blue electric hood. The interior is in very good condition which belies its 23 year old age! The odometer reads only a mere 30,500 miles from new and the car comes with a good history file, with recent invoices from Hoffmans of Henley. The present owner has just put new tyres all round on the car and it comes with a MoT test certificate which expires in August 2024. These Bentleys are so elegant and particularly when the hood is down, its lines still take your breath away. Low mileage, good condition examples such as this are difficult to find.
