Presenting in a two-tone of a Salmon pink body and a white painted roof is an original German-engineered AWZ P70 with a Duroplast body, the perfect restoration project. It features the Coupe body-design from 1957 and rests on steel rims with white centre caps.

The uniquely designed front end features the 'Bug light' headlight configuration while the rear showcases a more elegant design of oval tail lights. The body trim is highlighted lightly with a polished chrome lining that meets the car from front to back.

The P70 features the same engine from the more commonly known IFA F8, both using the same 684cc- two cylinder, two-stroke engine and was paired to a 3-speed manual transmission, an economic vehicle of its time.

The AWZ P70 were produced in limited numbers and are a rarity in any condition these days. This highly-collectible AWZ is an investment as a restoration project with potential to bring this collectors piece back to release condition.

Often referred to as 'Zwickau' the AWZ P70 was produced in east Germany by VEB Automobilwerke Zwickau between 1955 and 1959 as the successor of the IFA F8. The P70 featured 3 body types to include a saloon that was introduced in 1955, followed by an Estate version in 1956 and finishing in a Coupe in 1957. Throughout production, a total of 36,151 across all body shapes were produced.

In 1958 AWZ was united with the former Horch Factory and became the VEB Sachsenring Automobilewerke Zwickau, making the AWZ P70 become the Sachsenring P70.
