Beschreibung
"The Healey 3000 represents one of the most graceful and yet powerful classic English sportscars ever produced. It started with the 100/4, subsequently enlarged to 2.6 litres in the 100/6 and finally the powerful incarnation, the three litre, 3000. All three incarnations looked superb and drove equally well hence their regular use within motorsport. Twin SU carburettors and front disc brakes combined to good effect, the car was well balanced and proved extremely popular. The BJ8 was a very advanced Healey 3000 with a more considered windscreen design, wind-up windows and a quick action folding roof.Built and dispatched in October 1966 to New York, USA, this Austin Healey 3000 Mk. III left the factory originally painted in black and like so many cars, it has now been repatriated to the UK and painted in a more popular colour, Old English White. The car is presented today in good condition and is painted in an original Austin-Healey colour of Old English White, with a very high-quality red interior. Maintained until 2016 by a marque specialist, the car boasts a large history file with a MoT test history of nearly 30 years and many receipts of work completed. This included new fast road aluminium cylinder head, front and rear suspension upgrades and rebuild, differential rebuild, high torque starter and negative earth conversion. In recent years, the car has continued to be maintained to a very high standard and has been looked after with no expense spared. The interior was retrimmed and a new black mohair tonneau and hood really sets the car off. Without doubt, this car has been well maintained and would offer great useability for either local or continental trips. Consigned by John Dutton
