In the 1990s, a select few customers - handpicked by Aston Martin - were given the option of returning their new Virage to the Newport Pagnell factory to have it dismantled and its body replaced with a wider factory body (this in-house upgrade cost the same as a new Virage...).

Even more unusually, some customers also benefited from a new engine, the 6.3, which boosted the car to 500 hp. In addition to this new engine, these rare cars were fitted with more powerful brakes, reinforced suspension, special wheels and sportier chassis settings.

Here are some figures and details about this model and our car:
- A total of 24 examples are known to exist worldwide, with only two left-hand drive models.
- Our Virage is the only known LHD model with a manual gearbox.
- Delivered new in Belgium in 1997, it has only had two owners and currently has Dutch registration documents.
