Formally announced in June 2012 as the new ‘Halo’ car of the Aston Martin range, the Vanquish used many styling cues from the One-77 and different from its predecessor, the DBS, featured a new rear wing (or aero duct to be official). With extensive use of carbon fibre for its body panels, the Vanquish weighed in at 1,739kg, 55kg lighter than the previous model and power from the V12 engine was also increased to 565 bhp. The Vanquish could accurately be described as the ultimate ‘Super Grand Tourer’.
