2007 Aston Martin Vanquish S for sale
Two owners and only 7700 miles from new
Comprehensive service history
Supplied with original battery charger, car cover and umbrella
Superbly presented in Onyx Black with an Obsidian Black interior, this Aston Martin Vanquish S is one of only 375 right-hand-drive cars to leave the Newport Pagnell factory.

Sold new via main dealer Grange in Brentwood and delivered to its first owner on 20 April 2007, it dates from the final year of production. On 8 June 2007, the Vanquish was taken back to Newport Pagnell so that it could receive its 1000-mile Initial Free Service at Aston Martin Works – and it returned there on 26 March 2008 for its first annual service.

It continued to be cared for at Aston Martin Works until 2014, with the service book being stamped on 12 February 2009 (5971 miles), 6 April 2010 (6288 miles), 24 May 2011 (6411 miles) and 24 April 2014 (6671 miles).

The car was then kept in storage until 2020, when it was serviced by McGurk Performance Cars having still covered a total of only 6685 miles. It returned to Aston Martin Works on 25 June 2021 and then went to marque specialist Desmond J Smail on 6 October 2021, by when it had covered 7305 miles.

This immaculate, low-mileage Aston Martin Vanquish S has now covered only 7700 miles and is offered for sale with its original battery charger, car cover and umbrella. A virtually as-new example of this flagship British super-GT, it has been fastidiously maintained throughout its life – the underside benefits from a stainless-steel bolt conversion kit – and is available with a warranty of up to two years.

MODEL HISTORY
Born from the Ian Callum-designed ‘Project Vantage’ of 1998, the Aston Martin Vanquish was unveiled at the 2001 Geneva Motor Show. Beneath Callum’s muscular lines was an updated version of the 6-litre V12 engine that had first seen service in the DB7 Vantage. It produced 460bhp and drove through a six-speed paddle-shift automated manual transmission, and was mounted in a bonded aluminium composite chassis that was developed with Lotus.

Although the Vanquish won plaudits for its styling and for the noise from the V12, most road-testers felt that, handling-wise, it was not a match for the Ferrari 575. The Vanquish S was subsequently introduced at the 2004 Paris Motor Show and boasted all of the features from the previously optional Sports Dynamic Package. Those included stiffer suspension and larger brakes, while redesigned cylinder heads helped boost power to 520bhp – enough to push the Vanquish S to 200mph thanks to revised gearing, and from 0-60mph in 4.6 seconds.

When Chris Harris tested the revised model for Autocar, he wrote that it ‘changes direction with more commitment and accuracy’ than the standard Vanquish and added that the claimed 0-100mph time of 9.8 seconds was ‘probably a little on the cautious side.’

‘This, finally, is the definitive front-engined two-seat British super-GT,’ he concluded. ‘It would be a delight to wake up every morning with a Vanquish S on your driveway.’

The original Vanquish was built until 2007 and was the last model to be produced at Aston Martin’s historic Newport Pagnell premises. By the time the second-generation Vanquish came along in 2012, Ford had sold the marque to a private consortium led by David Richards and it had relocated to its current facility at Gaydon.
