1987 Aston Martin V8 Efi

Built and delivered in late 1987, this highly specified Aston Martin V8 Efi, known to ourselves for over 20 years, has led a charmed life in the hands of its previous owners. Equipped with subtle upgrades, including suspension and road wheel upgrades, a ‘PoW’ (Prince of Wales) specification front lower lip spoiler, lockable centre armrest and Becker cascade infotainment.

Produced for just over 3 years, the late model V8 Efi was the first AMV8 model to be fitted with electronic fuel injection, giving the engine greater power and torque, easier starting, whilst allowing a more refined driving experience with reduced fuel consumption, than earlier carburettor equipped AMV8’s. The Weber-Marelli electronic injection system, shared with Ferrari and Ford cars, was standard equipment from January 1986 in V8 Coupe and Volante’s models.

Remarkably, only 42 Fuel Injected Coupe V8’s were manufactured and delivered into the UK market, of which this is one. The remaining Efi equipped V8’s, being mostly in LHD and exported, before production of the revered 1980’s V8 Coupe’s ended in 1989.

Delivered new in Winchester Blue this low mileage example was the recipient of a bare metal re-paint in the mid 90’s, into the highly attractive Aston Martin Pentland Green colour. Concurrently the original Connolly Parchment interior wase extensively cleaned and preserved, the dashboard top roll and steering wheel retrimmed in Black hides and a Becker Cascade Hi-Fi system installed, bringing this low mileage example to the excellent condition, in which the car remains today.

Last sold by ourselves in the late 2000’s, this exceptional example has covered a remarkably low mileage of just 39,000 miles in total and has been stored and run in ideal conditions, over the last few years.
