Evolution was not only visible engine wise, the Aston Martin's distinctive look also received a daring metamorphosis.
However, it was relatively short-lived, by 72 the model was updated to the AM V8 and back was the iconic Aston grille.
After relying on Bosch injectors for several years, Aston returned to carburettors in 1973, using 4 Weber Twin-Chokes the engine could deliver no less than 310hp and recorded a 0-100 time at 6.2 seconds with a top speed of 150 miles per hour.

This legendary sports car brand will also remain forever linked to the equally British Spy 007, and this V8 was also featured in the film "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" and the teasers speculate on a return in the latest James Bond.
