Beschreibung

Aston Martin, a household name and probably needs no real introduction.
After decades perfecting straight-six powered Grand Tourers, Aston Martin finally acknowledged its customers’ demand for a more powerful GT starting in 1967 with the introduction of the DBS.
It took a further 2 years before the new DBS V8 appeared on the road in 1969, equipped with the long-awaited Tadek Marek built 5.3 litre, making it the first V8 in the brand's history.
Evolution was not only visible engine wise, the Aston Martin's distinctive look also received a daring metamorphosis.
However, it was relatively short-lived, by 72 the model was updated to the AM V8 and back was the iconic Aston grille.
After relying on Bosch injectors for several years, Aston returned to carburettors in 1973, using 4 Weber Twin-Chokes the engine could deliver no less than 310hp and recorded a 0-100 time at 6.2 seconds with a top speed of 150 miles per hour.

This legendary sports car brand will also remain forever linked to the equally British Spy 007, and this V8 was also featured in the film "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" and the teasers speculate on a return in the latest James Bond.

Where to start with what makes this 1974 Aston Martin so special? For starters: The history that goes with the car is truly unseen.

We not only have the Heritage Certificate, but also the original delivery note and perhaps the most important and exceptional: also the factory Car Record Card.
The car was delivered new in Oregon USA and spent most of its life over the pond.
After a stopover in Canada where the engine was completely rebuilt and adjusted in 2013.
This work was carried out by a highly regarded engine builder in Toronto.
He even went so far as to rebuild the engine to strict factory specifications and tolerances; you can only imagine how much work went into this.

We also have the complete and detailed service history since 1996. The current owner has even kept a file with all the costs and maintenance that he and the previous owners did on the car. It takes only a glance to see that this car has always been maintained by true enthusiasts.
The current owner, a retired engineer, only wanted the best for his beloved car and as an engineer of course technology was his hobby-horse. But still, he always kept originality in mind.
Mechanically the car is of an unprecedented quality and is a dream to drive. The engine runs silky smooth, the Webers are perfectly adjusted and the 3-speed automatic transmission shifts extremely soft and smooth.

The unmistakable Aston Martin style in the perfect colour combination: the Cumberland Grey Metallic combined with the warm Burgundy hide is simply beautiful.
The excellent condition of the exterior is also reflected in the interior.
The leather and deep pile carpet are in near mint condition, only the patina on the leather betrays its age. The British Gentlemen club feeling on wheels.

Everything can actually be summed up in one sentence: the power of a real muscle car in a stylish Saville Row suit.
