First shown to the general public at the Geneva Motor Show in 2009, with customer deliveries commencing later in that year, the DBS Volante enjoyed a production run of just 3 years, ending in 2012 with a total of 846 examples built.

During the production run, a number of limited-edition model variants were offered by Aston Martin, including the ‘Carbon Black’ Edition for 2011 model year. The Carbon Black edition featured bespoke Carbon Black metallic paint especially formulated with a subtle metallic twist to create a deep rich patina. Bang & Olufsen 1000W audio was included as standard along with Obsidian Black leather with contrast silver stitching, piano black fascia trim, unique sill plaques based on a carbon theme, gloss black and diamond turned alloy wheels and magnum silver meshes. A bright finished grille and front parking sensors (normally an option) complete the exterior detailing.

Whilst not a numbered limited edition, the Carbon Black Edition was limited to just a single car per dealer but our sources at the Aston Martin Heritage Trust have confirmed that just 87 cars were delivered worldwide, 31 RHD for the UK. All were specified with Touchtronic 2 Transmission. The price of the Carbon Black edition was approximately 5% higher than a standard DBS Volante.

The superb example we are now delighted to offer was first registered in March 2011 and has been used sparingly by its 3 former owners. The recorded mileage now being 14,100. The vehicle is in superb order throughout and has benefited from servicing at Aston Martin main agents during its life. The next scheduled service will be completed by our own workshops prior to handover along with our usual high standards of pre-delivery preparation.
