Beschreibung
With the production start of the James Bond parody «Johnny English» starring Rowan Atkinson in 2002, it became clear that the protagonist would have to drive an Aston Martin. A DB7 Vantage coupé in dark blue (Mendip Blue) and automatic gearbox was chosen and delivered by the Aston Martin PR section to the film production company on the 4th of April 2002. Once filming had been completed and the film duly promoted, the DB7, with its registration OY02 USH was sold to a private party, (perhaps even Rowan Atkinson himself). At the beginning of 2004, the elegant Coupé was imported and registered in Switzerland where the first registration was wrongly entered as January 2003. In 2007 the car was reregistered to Universal Pictures international Switzerland GmbH and, with 60’000 kilometres driven, it was taken over by the vendor in March 2017. About 500 kilometres prior to the handover, the Aston received a thorough check-over for around 17’000 Swiss francs by Emil Frey AG Zürich-Altstetten. Since then, the Aston Martin has been used for occasional outings and was parked in a small collection. With now 68’200 kilometres driven, a complete document folder and both keys, the DB7 is in good to very good original condition. The original English number plates used in the film are available and will be handed over with the car. The most recent MOT was completed in February 2025 allowing this famous movie car to be registered immediately.
