Im Jahre 1963 stellte Aston Martin sein neues Modell, den DB 5 mit einer Karosserie von Touring in Mailand vor. Es galt als gelungene Synthese von britischer Technik und italienischem Design. Die Coupé Variante spielte in vielen James Bond Filmen mit und gilt als das bekannteste Auto der Welt. In kleiner Stückzahl wurde der DB 5 auch als offene Variante gefertigt.
Im März 1965 wurde dieser Wagen durch den Aston Martin Händler C. Sidney in England erstausgeliefert. Nach vier weiteren Besitzerwechseln innerhalb Englands gelangte das Fahrzeug 1987 nach Deutschland zu seinem langjährigem Eigentümer, dem bekannten Sammler Robert Leyba, der seinerzeit über die größte Aston Martin Sammlung in Europa verfügte. In Zusammenarbeit mit der renommierten Fachwerkstatt „Beat Roos“ wurde der Wagen gemäß vorliegender Dokumentation vollständig restauriert und präsentiert sich heute in einem nahezu neuwertigem Zustand.

Description:

In 1963, Aston Martin introduced its new model, the DB 5 with a Touring body in Milan. It was considered a successful synthesis of British technique and Italian style. The Coupé variant played in many James Bond films and is considered the most famous car in the world. In small series the DB 5 was built as a Convertible.
This DB 5 was first delivered by Aston Martin dealer C. Sidney in England in march 1965. After having changed the owner four more times within England the vehicle was bought by the famous German collector Robert Leyba in 1987. Leyba at that time had the largest Aston Martin collection in Europe. In cooperation with the renowned specialist workshop "Beat Roos" in Switzerland, the car has been completely restored according to the available documentation and today presents itself in near mint condition.
