Im Jahre 1963 stellte Aston Martin sein neues Modell, den DB 5 mit einer Karosserie von Touring in Mailand, vor. Er galt als gelungene Synthese von britischer Technik und italienischem Design. Die Coupé-Variante spielte in vielen James Bond Filmen mit und gilt als das bekannteste Auto der Welt.

Vom dem durch die James Bond Filme legendär gewordenen DB 5 Coupé wurden zwischen 1963 und 1965 lediglich 898 Fahrzeuge in Handarbeit gefertigt.

Dieser Aston Martin DB 5 wurde am 27 April 1965 an Midland Investments Ltd of Banburry, Oxfordshire ausgeliefert und vor rund 25 Jahren durch die Markenexperten Desmond Smail und RS Williams aufwändig restauriert. Einige Jahre später wurde der Wagen Bestandteil einer bedeutenden Aston-Martin-Sammlung. Eine umfangreiche Besitzerhistorie und Works Built Sheet liegen vor.

Only 898 DB 5 Coupé were made by hand between 1963 and 1965.

The Aston Martin DB 5 Coupé presented here was delivered to Midland Investments Ltd of Banburry, Oxfordshire on 27 April 1965. About 25 years ago it has been extensively restored by the marque experts Desmond Smail and RS Williams. Finally the vehicle became part of an important Aston Martin collection.
