Beschreibung

Supplied by main agents Brooklands on 21st May 1964, finished in Sierra Blue coachwork with Grey hide and sold new to the original owner C.Pretzlik Esq of Alton, Hants, 27th May 1964

According to the original buff log book held on file, the first owner is actually listed as Arthur Wollacott of Blackfriars House, London EC4, so it’s likley the order was changed at the last minute prior to Mr Pretzlik taking delivery

The DB5 was subsequently sold to ‘Trembath Services Ltd’ of Purley Way, Croydon, before being acquired on 14th September 1971 by Squadron Leader John Bloomfield of Byfleet, Surrey, who would continue to own and enjoy the DB5 for a further 42 years! Interestingly for a short time Bloomfield also owned ‘VMF 65’ one of the works Aston Martin DB2 team cars that ran at Le Mans as a works entry

Today the DB5 is resplendent in California Sage coachwork with light tan hide, having befitted from a bare shell repaint within the last two years, which included removal of the webasto sunroof, and extensive chassis restoration

Fitted with power steering, uprated suspension and Torrino wire wheels, this attractive DB5 is supplied with a copy of the original build sheet, original buff log book, extensive notes by Bloomfield of his personal car ownership history, various sundry invoices and images of more recent restoration work. Recent major service and pre-sale preparation completed by marque exponents R.S.Williams. Please contact us for more details
