We have a very nice Alfa Romeo GT 1600 Lusso. The car was supplied from new in the Netherlands on the 6th April 1976. This GT has always been very sympathetically maintained by its loving owners over the years. The last owner has kept the car for the last seven years. Again he followed in the tradition of keeping up the high level of maintenance. He mainly kept the car for its divine driving sensation. The car is therefore still in very good used condition. As mentioned the car has been very well maintained over the last seven years with no reported ailments and only the started motor preventatively having been replaced. Regular service and maintenance were all that was required. This is not a show car but a proper drivers car. The bodywork is neat but used. The panel gaps are all straight and neat. There is a certain amount of expected signs of wear but nothing very obvious. The “Verde Olive” paintwork is also in neatly worn condition. The spruce interior trim has developed a nice patina. The tidy upholstery and controls are all in good shape. The mechanics are what makes an Alfa Romeo. This GT 1600 can still deliver the goods. The lightweight coupé poses little trouble for its perfectly running engine. There is nice and precise gearbox action without any of that horrible play sometimes seen. The suspension and brakes also have benefitted from the very good care this car has enjoyed. This car has very good road-holding manners making this the ultimate choice of an Alfa Romeo GT 1600 Lusso that is not to pretty to enjoy driving it rather than keeping it locked up inside. Just great motoring and enjoying the fantastic iconic Twin-Cam engine. The car also comes with its original Italian owners manual.
