This car was imported from Italy to the Netherlands some 32 years ago, when it acquired its first Dutch registration. It was owned by a talented Dutch rally driver, a former winner of the Monte-Carlo rally in a Ferrari 250 GT/E. The Giulietta disappeared into a shed, waiting to be brought out for an active rally career. Due to the huge amount of other cars in the collection, the rally prospect never materialised. In 1994 the car was acquired by its last owner, who still did not use it until last year. In 2019 the entire engine block was fully overhauled. All moving parts were renewed. For instance it now has new pistons, busses, ball bearings, in and outlet valves, timing chain, main brake cylinder, filter housing, radiator, petrol tank, tubing and electric looms. All invoices and photos support the fact that this process was carried out by a renowned Alfa specialist in the Netherlands. The original isolation material under the bonnet and the protective foil covering around the window handles supplied by the factory are further evidence that this car was rarely used and is authentic. The rust-free bodywork is sound. The fine body panels fit together nicely. The interior trim is in a superbly original condition and breaths 60’s era splendour. This top of the class original and mechanically perfect Alfa is ready to be enjoyed!
