Beschreibung
Classic car completely restored by a professional workshop in Berlin with an H number plate (an H number plate denotes a classic car in Germany). German vehicle inspection and full expert assessment carried out in January 2023.
History:
The Alfa Romeo Alfetta is a popular car model from the Italian manufacturer Alfa Romeo. It was produced from 1972 to 1987 and belongs to the middle class. The Alfetta was sold in a saloon version, as well as in a sporty coupe version and in an estate version.
The description of the car's history shows that it had a total of four owners, two of whom only acted as intermediaries. The other two owners were elderly gentlemen in Italy who took very good care of the car.
The Alfa Romeo Alfetta models were known for their sporty performance and elegant design.
The Alfetta had a rear-wheel drive architecture and independent suspension on the front and rear axles, which contributed to good road holding and vehicle dynamics. The car had well-balanced weight distribution and precise steering, which made driving it a pleasant experience.
Overall, the Alfa Romeo Alfetta is considered a classic Alfa Romeo model and has a permanent place in automotive history.
The car has been stored dry in an underground garage since I have owned it. The previous owner was a grandfather in southern Italy. To the best of my knowledge, the car was manufactured in Milan.
Engine and mechanics:
Very good. The vehicle was handed over to a garage for a check in June 2023. Overall, the mechanics and engine were rated as very good; no work was required. The only thing that needs adjustment is the gearbox for the second gear, as this is sometimes difficult to engage. On inspection of the underbody, the professional noted that "few classic cars have so little to no rust". At the beginning of the year, important mechanical and engine components were completely renewed by the professional classic car workshop Spurwechsel (which has been featured on TV). See below in the photos for a detailed list of repairs and the invoice.
Bodywork and paint:
There are approximately 2 cm by 1 cm long superficial rust spots on the door sills; these are covered with zinc primer so that they do not rust further. One door has been painted over in the course of time. Several areas have been sporadically repainted. All repainting work is only visible on close inspection. The vehicle's original paintwork is largely preserved.
Necessary repairs:
The vehicle is in a roadworthy condition, and all permits are in place so that it can be successfully registered in any country. We are only talking about cosmetic repairs, but, for the sake of thoroughness, I would like to communicate them openly here:
-\tthe lock on the passenger side needs to be replaced; it is not currently usable.
-\tthe synchronising rings in the gearbox probably need to be replaced so that the second gear can be engaged better.
The vehicle has the following special features:
- trailer coupling
- summer tyres
- replacement tyres
