            Hexagon Classics are delighted to offer this very low mileage AC Cobra Superblower, one of the most iconic and instantly recognizable sports cars in the world. This is production car number 9 produced at AC Cars at Brooklands and has been produced in aluminium using original factory tooling to 427 specification by English craftsmen.

The AC Cobra is a byword for fast, muscular motoring and for many years in its original guise was listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the World's fastest production car. This AC Superblower by AC Car Group Ltd, Weybridge, is powered by a supercharged Ford Motorsport 5.0 litre V8 engine, which combines its mighty power with unique and distinctive body styling.

Conceived more than 50 years ago by Carroll Shelby from the original AC Ace, the all-aluminium body continued to be hand crafted by AC Cars using the original tooling and retained the enduring good looks that found it favour with a loyal circle of driving enthusiasts around the world.

The Superblower's interior is trimmed with finest English leather and deep pile wool carpeting. Superblower motoring has more to do with muscle-power than creature comfort. When the Cobra was originally conceived it developed a well-earned reputation for delivering the ultimate in performance.  The AC Superblower has maintained that reputation, and through the introduction of supercharging, has restored this motoring icon’s extremes of power, putting 355 bhp at the driver's disposal. A maximum torque figure of 385 lb/ft @ 3,750 rpm is equally impressive. Top speed is 165 mph and the Superblower delivers a 0-60 mph time of a blistering 4.2 seconds.

Our car is presented in outstanding condition, and has been used sparingly since production. It has original Smith instruments set in a period-style dashboard arrangement, which improves the traditional feel of the Superblower.  It has just visited specialists Redline Engineering for a set of new 15” Halibrand wheel and Avon tyres, new engine drive belt and its supercharger run safe upgrade check. The cherished number plate “A289 COB” is also included in the sale.

This car is truly a piece of British motoring folklore. The Cobra Superblower will certainly provide thrills galore for its new owner and attract numerous admirers wherever it travels.
