Beschreibung

The history of the Japanese brand Yamaha is intimately linked to the speedway. When the brand wins on the track, it sells in its dealerships. It is therefore important to produce high-performance motorcycles. When Yamaha introduced two new motorcycles in 1973 for customer competitions, they were a big success. With two engines of 250 and 350 cc, the goal was to invade both categories with a bike that brought innovation and performance. They both have liquid cooling which will erase the main flaw of air-cooled engines that ran out of steam during a race. The 350 will be declined under several versions until 1981, from the TZ A which developed 60 hp to the TZ H which, thanks to various technical evolutions, will produce 72 hp of an engine which will have proved to be reliable, having allowed to obtain numerous successes throughout the world. The TZ 350 Morena is designed by Edouard Morena whose ambition is to improve the performance of the machine by optimizing its handling. He worked on the rear of the bike by replacing the cantilever suspension with a rocker arm. Equipped with two discs at the front and one at the rear, its braking proves to be very effective when it comes to stopping this racing machine. The presented model is in a good condition, with a slight patina. Its surprising fairings, painted in the French colors, remind us of its racing vocation. The bike starts and is just waiting for a rider to get on the (small) seat and take the lead over the competition.
