Beschreibung

The Vespa Sprint is a scooter made in Italy by Piaggio from 1965 to 1976. The scooter came in two different variations. The first, called the Vespa Sprint, was made from 1965 to 1974. The second, known as the Vespa Sprint Veloce, was built from 1969 to 1976. Original Vespas were constructed without any turn signals, and it wasn’t until 1973 that turn signals were fitted to Sprint Veloces in order to satisfy American safety regulations.

The Vespa 150 Sprint is a simple machine. The scooter is powered by a 150cc, 2 stroke, single cylinder, air cooled engine. The compression ratio is 7.5:1. The vehicle has a coil ignition and a 4-speed manual transmission. It sports mono front and rear suspension, as well as front and rear drum brakes. Stock tire diameter is 10 inches, and the entire scooter has a wheelbase of 1200mm.

This Vespa is finished in a wonderful two tone yellow and white paintjob, and it appears to be without any major flaws which makes sense, because even though this vehicle is now over 50 years old, it only has 2,920 miles on the odometer. We aren’t sure if the mileage is true but is fitting with the condition of the scooter. The front-mounted rack sports a minor amount of surface corrosion, as do the arms for the rear-view mirrors, but the single headlight is in excellent condition. The front mudflap looks as though it’s still fresh off the assembly line. There is also a spare tire mounted behind the passenger seat.

This little scooter has been kept in great condition over its long life. It would be a tall order to find a Vespa as old as this one with as few miles on the clock, and even if you did, it certainly wouldn’t be this clean. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure the original commuter scooter!
