The 150 Sprint was introduced by Piaggio in 1965 with the aim of offering a dodged scooter with greater power and performance. Equipped with a new distribution diagram, increased compression ratio, new exhaust and a new reinforced magnet flywheel, with its 7.1 hp it could reach a top speed of 72 km/h. Produced during the years of the struggle between Piaggio and Innocenti, which almost equally divided the market and fiercely fought each other, the Sprint was one of the top models that were able to contrast Lambretta's most performing models. In the years of the economic boom, when scooters were more popular than motorcycles, the Vespa 150 Sprint became one of the most desired scooters of those years.
This 1966 Vespa 150 Sprint is one of the few models that left the factory with Longhi sidecars. For more than 30 years in the same collection, it was developed in the 90's with a 175cc three-drive Polini kit from the Tavolini dealer in Fabriano. Elegant and rare, it is without doubt one of the funniest and most enjoyable Vespas, ideal for an unforgettable summer.
