- High quality restoration
- A rare motorcycle
- Very attractive aesthetics
Although MV Agusta became interested in the late 1940s in developing multi-cylinder machines for competition, the concept for street use was much wiser. After producing a scooter of 98cc, which met with great success, and followed by small single-cylinder machines of 125 and 175cc, MV presented in 1956 the 250 Raid, a motorcycle with a robust design whose single cylinder four-stroke engine developed 14bhp, sufficient power to give the bike a top speed of 110 km/h.
The MV 250 Raid that we are offering here was purchased in 1998 in Belgium by our collector, through an advertisement. It was then completely restored by Peppino Minervi, a leading expert on the MV 750, based in the Milan area, less than 10 km from the MV plant, the painting work being done by Marchi in the region of Friuli. Since its restoration, this bike has only been ridden for 200km and it is rare to see such a restoration done with so much care for this model. An original and rare bike, very representative of the Italian machines of this period, this bike offers the character and prestige of a brand that all motorcycle enthusiasts dream of.
