Although the prestigious four-cylinder models tend to obscure other bikes from MV, the Count Domenico Agusta brand began by producing small displacement machines. After the 125 and the 175 MVs launched in the late 1950s, a 250 twin four-stroke was launched, the 250 Raid, which then was developed into the 250 B in 1968, by its characteristic saddle at two levels. This beautiful touring bike was robust and provided excellent performance, reaching 135 km/h. It was replaced in 1971 by the 350, which sold in significantly greater numbers.
The MV 250 we present was purchased by its current owner in 2008 from an Italian collector based in Belgium. With this model, he wanted to complete his collection, and after its purchase, he gave the motorcycle to Peppino Minervi , one of the leading experts on MV 750, established in the Milan area, less than 10 km from the MV factory. He restored the mechanical state of the bike, while the painting was entrusted to Marchi, in the Friuli region. Photos taken before the restoration also show that the bike had been well preserved. Today it is in superb condition and this is a rare opportunity to acquire a motorcycle that is original and that is also exclusive.
