The Vespa has evolved from a single model motor scooter manufactured in 1946 by Piaggio & Co. S.p.A. of Pontedera, Italy, to becoming now Europe's largest manufacturer of two-wheeled vehicles.
The very rare Faro Basso (Fender Light) model, as seen in the movie “Roman Holiday” with Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn, has become extremely hard to find even in its birth place of Italy, and as such is highly sought after by collectors of Vespa scooters worldwide.
Finished in a very stylish shade of bronze, this 1954 example is described as being in perfect condition - what better way enjoy the summer than to scoot around in such style!
