The famous Mobylette scooter, abbreviated to Moby, produced by the French company Motobecane was one of the main players of post-war revival and the numbers produced bear witness to that, with a total production of about 14 million. It was presented in 1949 and remained in production until 1997. The recipe was very simple, everything simplified as much as possible, the bare essentials and nothing more; a 50 cc 2-stroke engine with primary drive by V-belt and final drive by chain, with some versions equipped with a two-speed centrifugal speed variator. Restored and presumably never used since. A general mechanical check is recommended before use.
