Beschreibung

The late 1970s saw the unveiling of the V1000 G5 (“Gear 5”) in which the manual transmission was replaced by automatic transmission. Designer Paolo Martin put his hand to a serious restyling: engine (the company’s classic V2), frame and superstructures formed a compact yet not too heavy block, expressing a certain flexible elegance to underline the bike’s strength and comfort, thanks to its large size. Despite its large size, however, the bike was surprisingly agile and easy to handle. It was fitted with a windscreen, fixed side bags, front and rear crash bars. The integral braking assembly worked both rear brake and right front brake at the same time. The left front brake was controlled by a lever on the handlebars. All the brakes were disc-type.
