Honda's long line of successful off-road models commenced in 1972 with the launch of the SL250 trail bike, though the nomenclature soon changed to the more familiar XL250. A that time Honda was Japan's biggest motorcycle manufacturer (it still is, of course) but the smallest producer of off-road models. Honda was soon building the XR range of off-road four-strokes in a variety of capacities, the XR600R being a new introduction for 1985 and becoming the top-of-the-line model.
The XR600R offered here was believed ridden on the Rally Optic 2000 Tunisia.

This bike has been on static display since a number of years and is in need of recommissioning.
