Le Ducati SuperSport (note anche come Ducati SS) sono una serie di modelli di motocicletta prodotti dalla casa motociclistica bolognese Ducati a partire dal 1988, dotate di motori bicilindrici derivati dalla precedente serie Pantah. Il nome si rifà a quello della Ducati 750 Super Sport a “carter tondi” del 1973 e a quello delle successive 750 e 900 Super Sport a “carter squadrati” del 1975 e alla Pantah SS.

A partire dal 1975 vennero commercializzate due nuove versioni della Super Sport, che sostituirono la 750 a “carter tondi”: basate sul nuovo motore da 864 cc della Ducati 860 GT caratterizzato dai “carter squadrati”, esse furono denominate 900 Super Sport e 750 Super Sport (con il motore dalla cilindrata ridotta). Virtualmente identiche, ne furono prodotte 250 esemplari per ognuna delle versioni, con gli acquirenti che preferirono per lo più la versione col motore più grosso, mentre la 750 veniva acquistata da coloro che l’avrebbero usata nelle competizioni riservate alle moto di quella cilindrata

The Ducati SuperSports (also known as Ducati SS) are a series of motorcycle models produced by the Bologna-based motorcycle manufacturer Ducati since 1988, equipped with twin-cylinder engines derived from the previous Pantah series. The name refers to that of the 1973 Ducati 750 Super Sport with “round casings” and that of the subsequent 750 and 900 Super Sport with “squared casings” of 1975 and the Pantah SS.

Starting from 1975 two new versions of the Super Sport were marketed, which replaced the 750 with “round sump”: based on the new 864 cc engine of the Ducati 860 GT characterized by the “squared sump”, they were called 900 Super Sport and 750 Super Sport (with the small displacement engine). Virtually identical, 250 copies were produced for each of the versions, with buyers mostly preferring the larger engine version, while the 750 was bought by those who would use it in competitions reserved for motorcycles of that displacement.
