Frame no. to be advised
Engine no. to be advised

Originally an armaments manufacturer, the Czech firm of CZ diversified into motorcycle manufacture in the early 1930s, combining its operations with those of erstwhile rivals Jawa in 1949. Throughout the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s the marque's main claim to fame was an outstanding run of success in the ISDT and in international moto-cross. Having established dominance in the 250cc class, Viktor Arbekov winning one World Championship and Joel Robert three, CZ introduced a 360cc two-stroke into the 500 class in 1964, sounding the death knell of four-strokes in the premier category and providing Paul Friedrichs with three World Championships on the trot between 1966 and 1968. This 380cc CZ was purchased from a Czech rider during a moto-cross meeting at Chaumont in France. Since then the engine has been completely rebuilt: re-bore and new piston, clutch, bearings, gearbox pinions (x2), Mikuni carburettor and electronic ignition, the latter two items fitted to making starting more reliable. In addition, the machine has received new Bilstein shock absorbers and all new control levers and cables.
