This beautiful bike of the quintessential British manufacturer AJS was delivered to the USA and 1st registered there in April 1958. Obviously the bike received a restoration at one stage and was probably imported into and registered in Switzerland in the early 90s. In 2003/4 with then 22’020 miles showing, the AJS received a major revision by the then owner. Besides an overhaul of the alternator and the ignition magneto, a new wiring loom was installed, and all control cables replaced. In November 2013, the beautiful Brit was taken over by the vendor but because of health reasons was rarely used. Necessary maintenance was never neglected though and in 2019 the cylinderhead was overhauled and in 2023 another major service to the ignition Magneto and the alternator was performed. With now 22’758 miles showing the AJS presents itself in good to very good and well-maintained condition. Because of the extended storage, a specialist inspection and recommission would certainly be recommended as well as an oil change. The last veteran MOT was completed in September 2014.
