17/06/2011 Festival da Jazz in St. Moritz: live at the Dracula Club
The Dracula Club in St Moritz is legendary. Known for hosting some of the world’s most exclusive parties, once a year the private Club – usually open only to members and their friends – unlocks its doors to the public for the summer Festival da Jazz.
Jazz stars from around the world come to St Moritz for the Festival, held this year for the fifth time – and running from 14th July to 14th August. The Festival comprises a series of concerts in the intimate atmosphere of the Dracula Club (the Club only accommodates 150 people), ranging from jazz-funk, jazz-soul, swing, bossa nova, singer-songwriter, mainstream, bebop and post-bop, to blues and gospel. The list of artists taking part is quite astounding – including Till Brönner, Ahmad Jamal, McCoy Tyner and Dieter Meier from Yello. Then there’s Manhattan Transfer, Marianne Faithfull and a great many other huge names.
The Dracula Club is part of the Kulm Hotel in St Moritz, meaning your evening of jazz can be perfectly rounded off with a late-night drink in the hotel’s Miles Davis Lounge.
