| Mercedes 190SL 1956 When I took this Mercedes 190SL for a testdrive, I thought that the often heard critic, saying that the 190SL is a bit boring and too slow, was unjustified. Unless you want to set-off with sceaming tyres and try to surpass the acceleration of a missile, for me this Mercedes-Benz is a real pleasure to drive. Although the general atmosphere is very relaxed, every time necessary there is plenty of "punch" available. The worldwide reputed quality label of the car manufacturer with the star from Stuttgart was in 1956 very obvious. Still today the 190SL feels strong, homogene and reliable. Sold new in Portugal this 190SL remained in the same family until very recently (letters of previous owner certifies this fact) and has allways been very well maintained. Thanks to the dry climate and the obviously pampered life of this Mercedes-Benz sportscar, the 190SL is today still in a super sound and extremely clean condition. An honest, reliable and elegant 50-ies open sportscar at 78.000 Euro.
