EDITORIAL

Can synapses tingle? Well, I'm sure you will understand what I'm getting at when I say that mine certainly are, having spent yesterday morning at the wheel of several McLaren MP4–12Cs on the famous 'Top Gear' test track.

That story will have to wait for another time but, looking at this week's newsletter, the New York Auto Show is in full swing and the hottest news is that Jaguar is continuing the naming sequence that started with the C–type and reached its apogee with the immortal 'E'.

A hard act to follow, and all that.

But we've every confidence that the new F–type will uphold the tradition of proper '–type' Jaguars, only besmirched by the bizarrely styled S–type saloon of the 2000s.

I'm off for a long weekend's holiday. I hope you are, too, and will enjoy the best of early spring sunshine, hood down in suitably 'Classic Driver style'.
