I have just discovered an event called 'Screamfest', whereby students all across the U.S.A. scream at exactly the same moment to relieve stress. The very idea makes me anxious — perhaps because I am (very slightly) older, or perhaps because I'm British.
We Brits have our own ways of tackling stress. Usually this involves pretending everything is fine right up until the moment of total collapse but, fortunately, John Simister has a more practical (if rather more expensive) solution in this week's newsletter. Having driven the new Bentley Continental GTC, he deems it to be "two stress–relievers in one". You'll have to read his report to find out why.
At £149,350, mind you, writing a cheque for the latest convertible Bentley is likely to raise the blood pressure just a touch. A more calming measure might be bidding for the four–year–old Bentley Azure in the upcoming Coys auction at Ascot next weekend.
If, however, you would prefer simply to scream, you will have to wait till next April. According to my research, Screamfest takes place on National Stress Out Day, which is scheduled for — wait for it — 15–21 April 2012. Once again, I am completely flummoxed.

DRIVING REPORT
BMW 1–Series M Coupé
Perhaps annoyingly to some, the 1–Series M Coupé hasn't been allowed to inherit the name of the legendary M1 sports car. But maybe this is the right decision; after all, the 1–Series M is more of a spiritual successor to the E30 M3 than the Giugiaro–styled, mid–engined icon of the late seventies.
