Ten races into this year's Formula 1 season and perhaps it's time to comment on proceedings so far. I've managed to catch most of the action, all bar the Canadian Grand Prix, as I was en route from Le Mans.
Apart from the odd stinker — a predictably tedious European Grand Prix in Valencia — it's been pretty good, with uncertain weather being a factor in most, and Vettel's overall 77-point lead is not a fair reflection of the close dicing in almost every round.
Choosing an individual performance is difficult, but for sheer determination and 1:37:30.334's worth of on–the–limit driving, Hamilton's effort last weekend was of the very finest order. It's a shame nowadays that, with the quantity of races and cars which look so similar from year to year, one Sunday's stellar drive is soon forgotten.
Unlike, say, Hill or Stewart at Monaco, or Fangio in a Maserati 250F at the 'Ring in the 50s.
You might have been at Silverstone last weekend for the historic meeting, and missed the modern action in Germany, which was a true 'Classic' in every sense. But as Roger Dixon describes in his report below, the Silverstone Classic will have more than made up for it.

Abarth Dinghy
If the marine equivalent of a Ferrari 458 Italia is a luxury speedboat, then the Fiat 500 Abarth surely equates to a little rubber boat. Welcome, then, to the SACS — Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari. Yes, it's a dinghy, made by Italian boatbuilder SACS.
