EDITORIAL
How would you describe this year's Frankfurt show? 'Sparky', maybe, given the preponderance of electric vehicles and the debut of the electrifying Ferrari 458 Italia — a vehicle that is both astoundingly quick and surprisingly kind on the environment.
In this week's ClassicInside we have video of the latest car from Maranello, as introduced by that priceless pairing, Luca di Montezemolo and Michael Schumacher. For pure theatre it takes some beating — as will the 458 on just about any road or track. On the subject of Ferrari, I've just completed several hundred miles in the California and was mightily impressed. With an additional 110bhp... wow. You will read the full write-up in a couple of weeks' time.
What else? Pick any one of the new Bentley Mulsanne, Aston Martin Rapide and Maserati GranCabrio and you'd have a nice addition to your garage, while — if in the market for that sort of thing — I'd have the Audi R8 V10 Spyder over the Lamborghini Reventón Roadster any day.
Anyway, I must go now if I'm to get to Goodwood before my accommodation for the weekend (a European–spec Airstream caravan) does — a full report on all the Revival action will be in next Friday's ClassicInside.
