EDITORIAL
In the interest of financial (rather than diet–based) belt–tightening, you will be pleased to note that I dined at the Carlton Café, a fine establishment serving 'The Best Breakfast in Essex', en route to my appointment with an R Type Bentley Continental this week.
I'd taken a new Continental GT Speed along for reflections on the two cars. You can read about the iconic older car today and we'll be covering the fantastic 600bhp supercar in the weeks to come.
Meanwhile, with perfect timing, how about a new £172,000 mid–engined supercar? That's what UK–based Arash Cars is planning with its AF10.
We have the story in this week's newsletter but my standard comment on this type of project is as follows: work out your budget, give me half (and I'll buy a Bentley, Ferrari or Aston Martin with it, 'proper' cars, all) and keep the rest in the bank.
Or under the bed, given today's turbulent environment.
