EDITORIAL

It did cause a bit of a stir. The sound of a highly tuned Maserati multi–cylinder engine on the King's Road in London this week, that is. Heads turned and, if the bus drivers weren't too pleased, at least the cabbies and workmen busy digging holes (or filling them in again) were impressed by the banging and popping, and double de–clutching sounds on change–down.

The 1954 250F raised eyebrows, too.

That was my Tuesday morning well spent and, judging by Charis's review of last weekend's Geneva Classics, it sounds as if the annual Swiss show for boats, aeroplanes, motorcycles and automobiles was another success. As we've said in the past, it's very easy to get to by air or rail and takes some beating as part of a day out in Geneva.

I took a DB9 down to this year's Goodwood Revival. As 'icing on the cake', it beat Grandma's 6–week–old Christmas confection complete with Santa's sleigh and robins hands down.

You can read all about it in this week's ClassicInside.
