EDITORIAL
For many of you, this will be the last ClassicInside before next week's Le Mans 24 Hours. Throughout Europe, tents will be brought down from the attic, waterproofs unearthed from under the stairs, and the residue of last year's breakfast scraped off the travelling Primus.
It's an event that any self–respecting car enthusiast must do in their lifetime, as it has shaped the history of so many manufacturers we hold dear. Where would Porsche be without its longstanding love affair with Les Vingt–Quatre Heures?
You look up the record books and there, in 1952, is a solitary 356 and yes, you've guessed it; it finishes. Since then, the company has won the event outright many, many times and this year we'll see privateer prototypes and road car–based 911s, the latest iteration of which you can read about in today's ClassicInside.
It is a test of endurance, and the hackneyed phrase is 'for spectator and driver alike'. So, keep it on the road when driving down there, and we hope to meet many of you next weekend.
THIS WEEK IN CLASSIC DRIVER

The next–generation Porsche 911 will reach European markets in early July. While some things stay, thankfully, true to tradition — rear-wheel drive and, of course, rear–mounted flat–six power units — Porsche has also introduced some firsts for the new model range.
