EDITORIAL

Blue skies, an unchanged English countryside and the sound of an ex-Le Mans car driven from London to Goodwood on the public highway. Ah, those were the days, you might think.

Well, hold on there, if you'd been in West Sussex just a couple of days ago you would have seen the Harrods McLaren F1 arriving at Goodwood House under its own steam. The occasion was the official launch of this year's Goodwood Festival, with a few hints of what's to come in the Revival, too.

You can read the preview in this week's ClassicInside, and I think it's going to be as good as ever. For those unable to attend, however, just stick your head out of the window when the 12 Top Fuel 'rails' start up, for a 60-second blast.

It doesn't matter where you are; from Manchester to Melbourne, you'll be sure to hear them. And on the cricket pitch, too — they'll be playing baseball there next...

One of just 99 production DB7 GT Zagatos. Produced at the end of the DB7 production run, the Zagato-bodied cars embodied the best elements of the genre: GT-specification engine, brakes and suspension along with a shorter wheelbase and resultant lower weight.

The most nimble and sporting of the Vantage engine DB7s. This particular car has covered just 1,750 miles, is fitted with a sports exhaust system and special 'matt' aluminium finishers to complement the analine Chestnut hide interior.

As is usual with Zagato cars, these are great to drive and extremely rare

We are delighted to be able to offer this superb E-Type for sale. In keeping with our appreciation of fine cars, this model is an `ultimate` example to own and presents a very rare opportunity! Fully restored (with photographic record) at considerable cost in 2000 and substantially upgraded by JD Classics, with detailed accounts of the work, the car was upgraded and installed with a 5-speed T5 gearbox, AP Racing front calipers and vented discs, Coil-over front dampers and a Stage 2 engine rebuild complete with Hayward & Scott exhaust manifold and system.

The car performs superbly and has quite oustanding handling properties. Finished in mid-metallic Blue with Blue all-leather trim and Mohair hooding, this is an exceptional E-Type that has been maintained by ourselves since 2005.

A top-quality example.
